Yuriy Demiyanov (born June 2, 1964 in the village of Staroyuryevo, Tambov region) – Russian artist, painter. Lives in the city of Zadonsk, Lipetsk region. A participant of city, regional, national and international exhibitions.
The artist works in different genres of fine arts. Creates landscapes, still lifes, portraits. The main technique in which the artist works – oil painting, this technique, according to the artist, has a wide range of possibilities, and to the greatest extent possible to realize the creative ideas.
Yuriy Demiyanov uses a very “live” technique, in the professional world having the name a la prima (from Italian a la prima – “in one sitting”) – a kind of oil painting technique that allows you to fulfill a picture in one sitting. Almost all of his works the artist paints in plein air, which also gives sincerity and emotional cogency to his paintings. Free style of painting, free use of color, strong emotional charge in the works are the distinguishing features of Yuriy Demiyanov’s paintings. The artist himself calls his style – “painting in the traditions of impressionism.
